Последняя редакция1 января 1970 г.

This Privacy Policy applies to GoodDrop and the platform (the “Service”) it provides for the sale, purchase, or exchange of game items, including promotional activities on external websites. GDD processes your personal information that you share or that is otherwise collected while using the Service. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree to the GoodDrop Terms of Use of the Service.

1. Processed Data (Including Data Categories)

Data Provided by Service Users

In order to access certain functionalities on the Service, you may be required to submit a first and last name, information and a scanned copy of an identity document (passport, ID card, or driver’s license), residential address, payment card details, phone number, and email address. Submitting any additional profile information is optional and will remain non-public.

Data Obtained from Third Parties

All features of the GoodDrop platform become accessible after you sign in via your Steam account. During your initial login, GDD will receive your Steam ID, user avatar, and Steam Profile Name from Valve Corporation. Your Steam ID is used to set up a GoodDrop account and to retrieve details about your Steam-based game items. When your GoodDrop account is created, you will be assigned a unique user number (User ID).

Transactions and Payment Data

Direct replenishment of your virtual balance within the Service itself is not possible; instead, you will be presented with external payment solutions based on your location. GDD may share your contact information with the chosen payment provider to process transactions and for fraud-prevention checks. In the same way, GDD receives relevant information from your payment provider to ensure the transaction is carried out safely. Additionally, we gather, store, and handle information on your available game items, transaction history, exchanges, and preferences.

Cookies

As outlined in our Cookie Policy, GDD uses cookies and similar tools (e.g., web beacons, ad tags, and device identifiers) to recognize you and your device both inside the Service and on external sites. GDD also allows certain third parties to use cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. You can manage cookies through your browser’s settings or other methods. You can opt out of having cookies or comparable technologies track your activity on third-party websites for external advertising.

Information About Your Device and Location

When you access our website, GDD receives the URL of the site that led you to us. We also gather details about your IP address, proxy configuration, browser type, chosen color scheme, screen resolution, operating system version, and other data that can help identify you or your device.

Messages

Any messages or comments you post on our forums or support chats may be collected. Forum posts are by default public, while information shared in support chats is considered private and protected.

Google Analytics

Our website utilizes Google Analytics, a web analytics service by Google, Inc. (Google). Google Analytics mostly employs first-party cookies to record your interactions on the site. You can disable cookies fully or remove specific ones; more details are available at Google’s cookie policies. To entirely opt out of tracking across different sites, Google offers the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

2. Processing Purposes

Service

GDD uses your personal data to grant you access to the Service, enabling the purchase, sale, or exchange of game items. We suggest different payment providers based on your geographic region. By employing cookies, we remember your site layout, language settings, and other preferences for a more convenient experience.

Marketing

GDD may display ads to visitors, either within the Service or on external websites, either directly or via partners. The following data is used for advertising:
 •  Information gathered from marketing tools, including cookies, ad tags, and device IDs.
 •  Contact details shared by Service users.
 •  Data derived from how you use the Service (e.g., searches, site sections visited, items viewed, preferred color settings).
 •  Data generated from the above sources.

Support

GDD utilizes your information to respond to inquiries or complaints about the Service and to make necessary decisions or take appropriate actions.

Marketing (Security)

Despite the heading repetition, this section focuses on security. GDD uses your personal data for platform security and to investigate possible or confirmed incidents of fraud or other unlawful activities.

Statistics

GDD also compiles and disseminates aggregated statistical data that does not reveal your identity. For instance, this may include measuring how many times an advertisement is displayed or clicked, or analyzing site usage volumes in different regions.

3. Processing Time

GDD retains your personal data as long as your account is active or required for the functioning of the Service. Even if you only use the Service intermittently (for example, once every few years to sell, buy, or exchange items), we will keep your account and personal data until you choose to delete your account. After an account is deleted, personal information is removed, locked, or anonymized in accordance with applicable laws, unless further retention is required for legal reasons or other overriding interests. Sometimes, data cannot be completely erased due to the need to maintain transaction consistency on the exchange and trading platform.

If you exercise your right to object to certain data processing, we will address your objection and remove the data used for that purpose, unless there is another legitimate reason or legal requirement to keep processing or storing it. If you withdraw consent to process your personal data (or a child’s data under your guardianship), we will delete the corresponding data insofar as its collection and processing relied on your consent.

4. User Rights

Data protection regulations in your country or region may grant you certain rights regarding your personal data. To exercise those rights, please contact us using the details on our website or through your personal account.

Right to Information
You can request a copy of your personal data at any time by contacting us via any available communication channel.

Right to Rectification
You may edit some of your personal data in your personal account or ask us to correct inaccurate information on your behalf.

Right to Be Forgotten (“Oblivion”)
You can request partial or complete deletion of your personal data, for example if:
 •  It is no longer needed for the original purpose of collection;
 •  Consent was the sole legal basis for processing;
 •  No legitimate interest exists for the continued processing;
 •  Data was utilized for marketing purposes.

Right to Restrict Processing
You can ask us to limit the processing of all or some of your personal data—for instance, if you believe the data is inaccurate or if you suspect unlawful processing.

Right to Data Portability
You can request a copy of your personal data in a machine-readable format (such as XML or CSV) for any data you have previously provided.

Right to Object
You may request that we cease processing your personal data for direct marketing.

5. Children

Because the fundamental user information for our Service is taken from Valve Corporation (Steam), we adopt a similar policy regarding children’s personal data as Valve does (see Section 7 of Steam’s Privacy Policy). We advise parents to clarify to their children in which situations they may or may not share personal data online.

6. Cross-Border Data Transfer

GDD manages personal data in and outside the European Union (EU), relying on lawful mechanisms for cross-border data flows. Laws in certain non-EU jurisdictions may differ from EU data protection standards. In some instances, GDD employs the European Commission-approved Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) to transfer data out of the EU. Organizations that process data on GDD’s behalf have adopted the SCC where relevant, ensuring the confidentiality, security, and legality of your personal data processing. Presently, user data for the Service is stored within the EU.

7. Legal Grounds for Processing

GDD processes personal data based on the following legal foundations:
 •  Consent (provided by you)
 •  Contract (contractual obligations to give you full access to our Service, or pre-contractual interactions)
 •  Legitimate Interest
 •  Legal Obligations that we must satisfy under applicable law

Data processing under legitimate interest may involve:
 •  Protecting you and our platform from security or privacy threats and fraudulent third-party activities;
 •  Ensuring compliance with legal obligations;
 •  Improving Service performance and user experience;
 •  Furthering the continuity of our business operations.

If personal data is processed based on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. If processing is based on legitimate interests, you may challenge those interests where permitted by law.
